The Integrative Image Model Of Village

The missing of the image of village is a commom phenomenon in the process of newsocialist village construction and something goes wrong in village space. Some newconstructed villages have no rural character; some renewal villages are losing its ruralcharacter. Countryside spcae character is more and more similiar as city space character.There are three roles in the process of village construction: villagers, officials anddesigners. According to their own experience, emotions and economic factors, they havedifferent views on the village. Theses diferences lead the spliting of identity core. Therefore,the purpose of this paper is to analyse the image of village of the three roles and construct anintegrative image model of village.Based on the Gestalttheorie and related theories, this paper research three kinds ofmaterials: peasant painting, guidelines and programmes. The main points include elementsfragments and integralities in the materials. Each material reflects a role and shows differentimage of village Though calculating the element and its frequency, construct three imagemodels and an integrative image model of village.The main characters of this model are as follows: trees, buildings and roads are the threebasic elements in the village space; The most typical characters include uniting with nature,spontaneous layout, lush green and low-density building; The river system is more importantthan the mountains; The farm is negligible in the modle; The form of the road is meetting theterrain or winding; The characters of buildings include using rural materials, similar stylesand elegant colour; The rural courtyard is very important, in which there is a lot of farm tools,harvest and livestock.
