| With the dramatic development of science and technology in a changing economy, theprocess of modernization is increasingly developing for the country. In such times of economicprosperity, construction of spiritual civilization is also facing grim challenges. Theresponsibility of cultural exhibition and dissemination for various types of city parks becomesmore and more important, which helps to precipitate the cultural background of the city andreflect the development of urban civilization. City Mountain Park, as a type of city parks, is therise to meet the eager for the wild forest and to return to nature for the people living in theurban areas. The integration with regional culture not only reflects the characteristics of CityMountain Park different from other city parks, but also more deeply combines the modern andtraditional cultures in regional landscapes.In the construction of City Mountain Park, roads have the most basic functions oftransportation. They guide tourists to walk through the various spots. Meanwhile they havefunctions of guiding tours, organizing spatial sequence, showing characteristic landscapes,offering places for visitors to watch and to do fitness activities. Therefore, park road is also animportant carrier of landscape for the expression of regional culture, playing crucial role in theshaping of the overall landscape performance. Studying about how to wisely express theregional culture in the design of road landscape for City Mountain Park is the purpose of thispaper.Based on the current situation that the road planning and construction of City MountainPark is lack of systematically theoretical guidance, this paper takes Taizhou Baiyun MountainPark Regulatory Plan as example. Starting from systematic researches of road landscapes,learning from the successful experience of tour trial design from domestic and foreigncountries, we discuss about the special topographic features and limitations of City MountainPark, the classification, functionalities and relationships among park elements for roads of CityMountain Park from the perspective of showing regional features. We mainly analyze the effect of regional landscape exhibition on the park road construction. Based on the analysis for thebasic conditions of Baiyun Mountain and interpretation of the regional culture, we proposeplanning and design for road landscape construction of Baiyun Mountain adapted to localconditions. Also, we deeply discuss about how to express based on the geographical features inthe process of design. We hope that through this case study to promote and protect the regionalcultural heritage features, and also provide a reference for road landscape design and culturalexpression for other City Mountain Park.The structure of this paper is as follows. Chapter One introduces the background, purpose,significance methods and research status at domestic and foreign areas; Chapter Two mainlydescribes the concepts related to the mountain park road landscape, regional landscape andcurrent theoretical researches; Chapter Three, through case studies of Baiyun Mountain parkcontrolling detailed planning and analysis of surrounding geographic conditions, using Parkroad Landscape Planning design theory as theoretical support, taking regional features intoconsideration, we carry out overall design and planning for the road landscape in the park; InChapter Four, we study how to effectively integrate with regional culture in the road landscapedesign for Baiyun Mountain. Finally we conclude about the elements and methods of regionalexpressions for road landscape to improve the theme conception of the park and promote thecultural heritage. |
