Urban power grid planning is the blueprint of the urban power grid construction and development, the level and quality of power grid planning will directly affect the safety, economy and reliability of city power grid. Power system load forecasting is the most basic work of urban power grid planning and construction, and also the most important work.The prediction of Power system load forecasting reflects the future electricity demand of the city. Then it can guide the planning and construction of urban power grid. The accuracy of the load forecasting directly affects the level of the urban grid planning. So the load forecasting research has a very important significance.The factors which can affect the power system load are too many. The methods of load forecasting are too many. It makes the power load forecasting data collection work has become a complex task. It is impossible to accomplish manually. So it is an urgent need to design a computer-aided system to improve the efficiency, accuracy, scientific and normative of load forecasting.For the structure of the system, it includes the basic data platform and the load forecastinganalysis platform.Data platform is the primary work of the entire system. It is responsible for collecting data automatically from other systems and data preprocessing. It can provide credible raw informationsto the load forecasting system. Load forecasting system including load analysis module and load forecasting module. Load analysis module can analyze various of historical data, to looking for load development law, to provide significance support to the load forecast. Load forecasting module contains a variety of load forecasting method. Load forecasting staff can select the appropriate load forecasting method for load forecasting according to need.For the functions of the system, it includes the total load forecasting module and spatial load forecasting module.they can achieve total load forecasting and spatial load forecasting respectively. Meanwhile, because the system has need to share the data with other systems, the article focuses on thedesign of data interface. The system can transfer data with other systems and within the system.In addition, the spatial load forecasting module that can reflect the spatial load forecasting data to the CAD map, so that spatial load forecasting results will be more straightforward and intuitive.
