The concrete filled steel tube "fly-bird-type" arch bridges with elegant and reasonable shape are widely used in highway and municipal traffic systems. In general, long-span arch bridge is the controlling project through the entire line. And it’s safty determines the whole line is unobstructed.In recent years, a large number of concrete filled steel tube "fly-bird-type" arch bridges are built. But the corresponding seismic researches are not enough. There is an urgent need to conduct a detailed study of its seismic performance.In this thesis, on the basis of the Ziyang Tuojiang bridge, on the basis of the research achievements at home and abroad, the concrete filled steel tube "fly-bird-type" arch bridge’ earthquake responses were studied as follows:1、The study of analysis approach of earthquake response. Several analysis methods used to calculate the earthquake response of bridge are introduced and discussed, such as the elastic static method, the response spectrum method, the time-history method and the power spectrum method,2、The way to build the finite element model of the concrete filled steel tube "fly-bird-type" arch bridge has been introduced to research its dynamic characteristics.3、The Ziyang Tuojiang bridge’ earthquake responses have been analysed by using response spectrum and time-history methods. Structural seismic responses that seismic wave is inputted from vertical direction have been discussed. And the reaction rules of displacements and internal forces of structural crucial sections are summarized.4、According to calculation results of response spectrum analysis and time-history analysis, the concrete filled steel tube "fly-bird-type" arch bridge seismic response characteristics were summarized in this thesis.
