Since the intensification of the world’s environment and energy problems, modern tram get an increasing rise. As power supply system is an important foundation of modern tram projects, how to determine the power supply mode of tram becomes the focus of designers undoubtedly. This dissertation studies the various power supply system of modern tram, acquires the optimal power supply scheme of tram by evaluating the tram’s technical and economic characteristic and analyzes the dynamic performance of different power supply systems.Considering the own characteristic of tram, it can construct the evaluation system combing technical indicators, economic indicators, adaptive indicators as well as construction and environmental impact indicators of power supply system. This evaluation system organically integrates the related indicators of reliability, economy, security, flexibility and so on, it can be more reasonable to evaluate the power supply system of tram. At the same time, this paper analyzes and compares each evaluation indicator of different power supply system as overhead contact line system, APS system, Tramwave system, energy storage system and Primove system.The technology and economy of tram power solution are evaluated by static evaluation method which combines AHP and FCE. The new "scale method" is used to calculate the wei ght of each evaluation factor, expert scoring method is used to determine the membership of qualitative indicators, membership function is used to determine the membership of quantitat ive indicators,method is used to construct comprehensive evaluation system, According to th e final comprehensive weight, the best tram power solution is obtained.The tram which involves multi-factors has a long period. System dynamics evaluation model of tram is built in this paper. Comprehensive evaluation of simulation results through system dynamics simulation software Vensim is made which evaluate the relevant factors comprehensively and dynamically. Through the simulation results, it can get the best overall efficiency of tram’s power systems. Combining the static and dynamic evaluation, it can evaluate the technical and economic characteristic of tram’s power supply system comprehensively and scientifically which provide powerful basis to the selection of tram’s power supply system.
