In recent years,China's traffic system has become variety,trams once again come into the people's vision.The main reason for rapid development of new trams including the energy saving and environmental protection vehicles,handsome appearance,the new form of power supply,and intelligent traffic combined with the signal system,relative to the subway lower cost.Whether it is as a large city of traffic supplement with metro,or small and medium-sized city backbone network,can play a good role.However,the domestic system selection is different,and the investment is estimated to be higher,it is difficult to recover the cost.Therefore,this paper discusses and analyzes the system selection and economic performance of the tram.Based on the analysis of the development of tram at home and abroad,the paper analyzes the characteristics of the tram and concludes the energy-saving and environment-friendly tramcar with beautiful appearance and high safety through the comparison of the tram and BRT.According to the disassembly analysis of the main factors of the selection,in the right of way,most of the domestic tram projects are considered to be more suitable for semi-independent road right projects.In the lane layout options,it is recommended to use the road layout or sidemounted layout.At the same time,the economic performance is analyzed.The tram should be analyzed from three aspects: investment estimation,financial evaluation and national economy evaluation.This paper through the Guangzhou Haizhu District tram instance,further elaborated the related question research situation.It is considered that the energy storage tram system is reasonable in the test section of Haizhu District;the inter-section contactless network is adopted to reduce the impact on the landscape;the laying of some roads and the implementation of partial roadside laying are less difficult and have little impact on traffic;depot,to solve the problem of tram location provides a new idea;that due to the fare policy of public welfare,earnings more difficult.As a major infrastructure for public welfare,public transport projects have far more social benefits than economic benefits.
