The smart home has become a hot topic in the field of building intelligence. Itspurpose is to achieve the intelligent control of household equipment based onnetwork, embedded technology, computer technology and so on, It lets people set theworking condition of electrical appliances for enjoying more convenient and morecomfortable living condition. Ordinary and traditional household models can notachieve the intelligent control of the internal equipment, so home intelligent isextremely desired by people, and it will become the inevitable trend of the buildingindustry development.In this paper, the smart home monitor system based on the ZigBee wirelessnetwork technology and GPRS technology is designed, which includes two parts inhardware design and software design. The hardware design regards S3C2440as itscontrol core, and its peripheral circuits contain power module, data storage module,GPRS technology module, USB module and debug interface circuit, etc. This paperdetails the design of each module circuit, discusses the realization process ofhardware circuit and makes systematical analyses. The software part of the system iscomposed by two parts in the software design of the host system and the extensionsystem. The host software mainly includes the transplantation of the μC/OS-IIoperating system on the hardware platform, the sensor network communicationbetween the host and the extension, the data exchanging between the host and user’sphones by GPRS technology, and the command sending to the extension from thehost, etc. The extension software mainly contains the detection module software,alarm module software and so on.The monitoring system of the intelligent home in this paper has the features ofcontrol flexibility, safety, comfort and good scalability, etc. By mounting differentfunction sensors and actuators on extension system and corresponding part of thesoftware system, the monitoring system which is actually required could be formed. Therefore, there is value of practical application and the secondary development inthis design.
