To evaluate objectively the performance of a weapon system in it’s specified operatingenvironment and conclude that whether the performances had reached standard was afundamental demand for the weapon systems test. But, the composition and operatingenvironment of the weapon system was so complex that the confidence level of the evaluationwas often very low which had seriously impacted the utilization and efficiency of the weaponsystem. With a view to solve the problem of weapon systems test, the following study wasconducted in this thesis.1. The problem of weapon systems test and the solution were studied. The deficiency ofexisting test patterns in trying to solve the problem had been analysized, the reason of weaponsystems test problem was stuied, it was pointed out that the basic pathway was to bring aboutthe composition of various test datas, the applicability and necessity of ontology in thesolution of the problem of weapon systems test, and its requirement on how to constructe wasstudied.2. The information system of weapon systems test was designed. The goal of the systemwas to realize the composition of various level datas which aiming at to solve the problem.The basic principle of the information system was “Data is key”, that is the business logic wasincorporated in the domain ontology and was not encoded in program which was engaged intransaction, in order to improve the scalability of the information system.3. The development of weapon systems test domain ontology was studied. It was basedon the four basic concepts: weapons, performance, environment and test, that the hierarchystructure of and relationships between them were studied, and the concepts hierarchy andmutual relationships were determined accordingly, and the rule was introduced for morecomplex composite relationship, then the weapon systems test domain ontology wasconstructed using protégé.4. The information system of weapon systems test was developed and the case ofontology applying to achieve to synthetical evaluation of weapon systems was explained. Forit, the structure was B/S, the developing language was java, the developing platform wasEclipse, the enterprise framework was seam, the semantic web frame work was Jena, the DBMS was Mysql.It was for the first time that to solve weapon systems test problem by means ofconstructing and utilizing domain ontology was put forward, and was innovative. It wasslightly difficult to develop ontology and it was necessary to study repeatedly and to improvegradually because of the complexity of weapon systems test. However, the informationsystem of weapon systems test which being based on semantic web had been designed anddeveloped, and had provide a concrete platform to try to solve the problem.
