With the rapid development of global economy,petroleum products consumption also increases.At present, the tanker is the main mode of transport of petroleum products.Tanker crews need to be very careful in cargo oil handling operations,once the failure, the consequences will be unbearable to contemplate.So, how to improve the technical force of VLCC tanker crews in the shortest possible time has become the most urgent problem.In accordance with the "STCW78/10" requirements,training tanker crews by simulator is one of the most effective methods.But China has not yet developed a three-dimensional simulation system.Based on this consideration.this paper studies the three-dimensional VLCC ship cargo handling system.This paper chooses the300,000-ton Crude Carrier VLCC(Very Large Crude Carrier)"Yuan Xing Lake" built by Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Co.,Ltd.as the mother vessels.With the combination of VLCC marine engine simulator project of the Marine Automation lab,Dalian Maritime University,a virtual reality system for VLCC ship cargo oil handling system is developed.Firstly,this paper introduces the application status of the ship simulation at home and abroad.It also introduces the VLCC ship cargo oil handling system and cargo oil handling system mathematical models.Using C#programming language to edit the two-dimensional simulation on program code in the Visua1studio.NET platform. Through the mother ship data,using3d Max software to construct the3D models of ship.The3D models of ship are imported into Unity engine.In the end,realizing the interaction between two dimensional simulation program and3D roaming engine to achieve synchronous effect.This thesis developed a simulation software system on the basis of the formerresearches. According to the data of mother ship to construct3D virtual scene.So, when students are operating the simulator software can achieve the effect of being personally on the scene.The research results show that the application of virtual reality technology in the VLCC ship cargo oil handling system provides more accurate and vivid tool for training crews.at the same time.provides some way to research of the virtual training system.
