This paper researchs and designs about online safety monitoring system in tailings reservoir. With the industrial developling, Exploitation of mines is also growing demand. As a place to store tailings, tailings reservoir is an important part of composition of mine. In recent years, due to the lack of effective monitoring means, there have been many security incidents in China and caused very serious consequences. Designing and implementation of online safety monitoring system is an effective solution to the problem of tailings reservoir security. This system collects and analyses real-time data from devices of seepage line, GPS and rain gauge in order to help the relevant safety supervision departments and enterprises to quickly master the latest technical indexes closely related to the safety of ailings reservoir. Therefore, the system can timely master the security situation and operation situation of tailing reservoir, strengthen the safety of tailings and the surrounding area, to provide security for the people of tailings reservoir and downstream area of the safety of life and property, and in the maximum to avoid tailing disaster accidents and pollution caused, and to protect the ecological environment.The main contents of this paper include the following aspects:(1) Describes the current status of our common security tailings operation. In research of the development status of tailings monitoring technology, the researchers found the main problems and gaps in the monitoring of tailings. To analyze the characteristics of the tailings from the project and the specific factors that affect the safety of tailing two dimensions, mastered the tailings forms of natural disasters and the prevention of flash floods dam, piping failure monitoring principles. (2) By demand analysis, the system detects the major part of the relevant monitoring instruments, compared and analyzed to establish the tailings online safety monitoring system monitoring unit system, from the saturation line position monitoring, continuous dynamic monitoring of the water level of the dam displacement monitoring, beach surface elevation monitoring, real-time monitoring of surrounding circumstances tailings reservoir monitoring the content of these items, the completion of the functional design of the system modules of the system has been divided, the data transmission system and processes are analyzed.(3) Study the principles and methods of using the key technologies,in order to achieve various functional modules.
