| Water reservoir dam safety monitoring system is such an important monitoring system that can’t live and develop without it. By adopting advanced science and technology, the functions of monitoring, transmitting and processing remote real-time data in respect of reservoir dams, tailing ponds, and river irrigation area are achieved in dam monitoring system. Hence, this system is one of the necessary tools that improve the automatic level of dams to realize reasonable utilization of reservoirs and prevent floods and drought.According to the present situation of our nation, we use INSPEC (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) to design a remote supervisory control system. GPRS short message transmion and alarm based on GSM technology, Zigbee wireless communication and Ethernet remote control communication are realized, therefore, this system is more outstanding in remote communication technology. In addition, owning to weather factors affect dam safety, the dam gates are controlled according to the weather conditions received by Internet. As a result, the performance of water reservoir dam safety monitoring system has been optimized.Firstly, according to the mathematical model, the overall strategy and early warning mechanisms of the reservoir, the system puts forward the general structure of the monitoring system and designs the corresponding hardware circuit, including measurement parameters acquiring circuit, the Zigbee wireless communication circuit, GPRS short message communication circuit based on GSM, long-distance communication circuit based on Ethernet technology and man-machine interface display circuit. Then, based on the hardware circuits, the software system is designed, including the program flow chart and the interface of control center. Finally, according to the research of monitoring strategies, software and hardware are designed to ensure that the monitoring system operates safely and reliably.This paper comprehensively analyzes the dam safety monitoring system and proposes the manual and automated operation mode to achieve practical value of this monitoring system. |
