| With the expansion of city scale and the extension of suburban areas in China, the existing urban traffic system is increasingly unable to meet the ever-increasing traffic demand. In order to improve urban traffic and environment, our country has put forward the strategy of "priority for the development of public transport". Many cities have started to take effective measures to practice this basic national policy accordingly. However, how to effectively develop public transport in order to promote the formation of urban spatial form and structure becomes the focus of research. The widely use of accessibility in the field of transport has provided a new way for the research. The paper introduces the theory of accessibility as the bridge of studying the mutual relationship between public transport and land use and GIS as the tool of accessibility calculation and spatial analysis. On the theoretical study, the paper recommends the properties and functions of geographic information system and the concept and applications of accessibility respectively. On this basis, the public transportation database is established based on GIS and the fields and definitions of features in it are explained in detail. By comparing the five kinds of measure model which are usually used in the field of traffic planning, the combined measure model of accessibility which is suitable to public transport is built. Then, under the environment of raster data model, the accessibility measurement is analyzed and resulted by the method of combined measure model on the base of public transit network in database. Combined with the results of analysis, accessibility indicator system based on the information of land use is set up. Thus, the paper puts forward the guiding role that public transport played in land use and the public transport planning ideas that are guided by accessibility. Finally, the public system of Luzhou is evaluated and some development suggestions are put forward on the planning of public transport, land use and public facilities of Luzhou according to the evaluation results. |
