In the tide of high-speed electrified railway construction in our country, high-speed electric train with the advantages of high power, high speed, clean energy and less pollution to environment, have developed to be the first choice to build a new railway line. Pantograph is an important part of a high-speed electric train, which obtained electric energy from the catenary and provide power for traction motor and electronic equipment on vehicle. Whether pantograph has good dynamic characteristics is vital to guarantee the stability of high-speed electric train operation. Therefore, the on-line detection of dynamic characteristics of pantograph is of great significance.Aimed at the limitations of traditional and existing pantograph-catenary detection systems, this paper designs a new kind of wireless detection system of high-speed train pantograph dynamic characteristics, which is convenient to install on the roof of train to be detected and detect the vibration, strain and internal force of pantograph on-line. The detection system is powered in two ways, from the high pressure induction equipment or lithium battery, ensuring the detection system’s normal power supply even though the power of catenary is cut off. The FPGA-centric data acquisition module has strain zeroing, amplifying signal, anti-aliasing filtering and dual-port RAM cache functions. The ARM-centric data acquisition module has realized the function of wireless communication, network communication, GPS communications and SD card data storage. When the system is working, detected data is stored in the onboard SD card with large capacity. After of the detection, we can use internet interface to download data or read data directly from the SD card. The detection components on the roof of train communicate with the computer inside the train through wireless way, realizing the isolation between high voltage side and low voltage side. In additional, the PC software of system is designed based on Delphi, which can complete system control and data processing by wireless or wired communication way.This paper first introduces the background and significance of researching the wireless detection system of pantograph dynamic characteristics, puts forward this subject by analyzing the strengths and weaknesses of the traditional and existing pantograph-catenary detection systems. The second chapter designed the system overall scheme and system overall hardware-software scheme based on the system design goal and thought, then put forward the technical index of the system to achieve. Chapters3and4, respectively, in detail elaborated the system hardware and software design and implementation. Chapter5verified the system by calibration and rail track experiments. Experimental results show that the wireless detection system of high-speed train pantograph dynamic characteristics designed by this paper has the characteristics of low power, high precision and high speed, and it is very practical.
