Control valves are commonly used as fluid flow control equipments in manyengineering applications. Thus it’s very important for us to study the flow characteristicsand flow induced noise characteristics inside the valve to improve the flow capacity anddecrease flow noise. Based on an enterprise’s cage valve, this paper studied the flowcapacity and flow induced noise when it worked.First of all, verified calculation is processed to determine the suitable computing modelby comparing experimental and numerical results of several turbulence simulation grids,standard k model and the best grid structure are determined to calculate the steady flow.Then, LES model is adopted to calculate the unsteady flow and pressure fluctuation ofcage valve based on the steady flow results. Flow characteristics are output at differenttravels and flow rates.At last, according to Lighthill acoustic analogy theory and flow field information basedon FLUENT, internal sound field information will be adopted based on acoustic finiteelement software of ACTRAN. Using acoustic finite element and acoustic boundaryelement method, calculate the cage valve internal and external pressure, frequency spectrumcharacteristics. Analyze the reasons of the differences when Cage valve works underdifferent conditions. |
