On sailing in the ocean, the degree of the ship’s rolling motion has much to do with the sea condition. As one of the most widely used stabilizers in the world, the anti-rolling tank can reduce ship roll at zero speed and low speed, whose advantages are simple structure, low cost and so on. Passively controlled anti-rolling tank is one kind of high efficient anti-rolling tanks, and it can adjust water oscillation period to adapt sea conditions by using the automatic control system which is to change the state of air valves and water valves on or in the tank. Therefore, the anti-rolling tank has favorable effects in the any wave states. Thus, one good anti-rolling tank control system plays an important role to improve the anti-rolling effect, which contributes to elevating ship safe, fall transport cost, improve the efficient and so forth.In order to achieve the anti-rolling control system for collecting and analyzing the ship state, and then fulfilling the effective control of the tank during the automatic control process, the thesis analyze the demand and function according to the actual situation of the anti-rolling tank test device and the principle of the passively controlled anti-rolling tank, of which the core is the research and design of the communication protocol between modules and the automatic control algorithm. The thesis proposes a design of embedded control system based on MicroCAN communication protocol. On the basis of the design, the system is distributed into central human-machine interaction module and central controller, based on high-performance and high-reliability ARM chip, which consists of central control module, I/O control module and communication adapter. The thesis analyzed and studied each modules, and accomplish the mechanical, hardware and software design for them.The prototype of the system passed500hours stability test and experimental tests which meet "the laboratory environment test standard for the military equipment". The stability and reliability fulfills the demand for military products. The result of two sets of the automatic control algorithm test is78%and58%, which shows the system can contribute to good anti-rolling effect.The system can meet the ship demand for the passively controlled anti-rolling tank. The system been installed in ten high grade vessels currently.
