With the development of the mine auxiliary transportation technology, Explosion-prooftrackless rubber-tyred car is promoted and used as a professional transportation facilityrunning on the floor of roadway. However, the model of the explosion-proof diesel engine andhydraulic torque converter is limit, and the cases of transportation and Self-unloader are notconsidered completely, which bring about the matching problem of powerplant. Besides, itsgears number of Power shift gearbox is few and the transmission efficiency is poor, whichlead to the poor performance. This paper selected WC5E as our object for the rubber-tyredvehicle. The effective measures of increase dynamic performance were studied in details bymatching explosion-proof diesel engine and hydraulic torque converter and improving shiftschedule.At first, entire transmission system of explosion-proof rubber-tyred vehicle wasanalyzedby dividing into two parts according to boundary of pump wheel and turbine shaft. Thestructure of the power system was studied and the mathematical model of component modulewas built which lie the foundation for the whole vehicle model.Then,matchand optimization of the selected powerplant was carried out to meettransporting and dumping condition.The optimal model which approaches the optimizationresult was also selected.Besides, Torque converter was in Parallel with a planetary disc to be atype of hydraulic machinery shunt torque converter andoptimized characteristic parameter tomake sure thepowerplant reached the optimal matching results.And then, this paper proposed improvement of dynamic performance by correcting theshift schedule of Power shift gearbox. Dynamic type, economical, and comprehensive shiftingschedule was formulated and corrected by actual driving experience.At last, the explosion-proof rubber-tyred vehicle model was built by AVL cruise softwareand the value of dynamic performance was calculated. The optimal matching was proved.The results showed that using a type of hydraulic machinery shunt torque converter onthe basis of compromise matching optimization and increasing the number of gear, improvingthe shift scheduleto increase Dynamic performance was reasonable and effective.
