The injury effect is one of the most important indicators of light weapons and ammunition, currentnational military standard has more than ten years without improvement, however, types and technicalperformance of ammunition is more and more complex, current standard has been difficult to evaluatedammunition scientifically. In addition, there has not yet established power ratings criteria for non lethalriot ammunition such as elastic rubber bag、shrapnel and software deformation elastic depend on kineticinjury, that have high kinetic energy and low efficiency of injury, injury degree is difficult to conclusion.Using theoretical analysis、range test and numerical simulation, mechanism of injury and injury criterionhave been analyzed and discussed deeply in this paper,theory basis for improving power evaluationstandard has been provided. The followings are the main contents of this dissertation:1)Through wound ballistics, injury mechanism of ammunition has been researched deeply;Combinedwith some early views, with some typical cases and special effects as the breakthrough point, descriptionand analysis of basic theory of small arms ammunition injury have been done.2)Using theoretical analysis and test data, two categories of lethality criterion have been deeplyanalysised and re-understanding. It suggested that conditional probability lethality criterion is morescientific than kinetic energy lethality criterion, and lethality assessment method based on the former hasbeen determined。3)Combined with38mm flexible transformable bullets and18.4mm bag bullets of Ministry ofPublic Security, the injury effect induced by biological has been carried out in national shooting range.Lethality assessment methods of riot ammunition have been given by experiment, which providedtheoretical basis for the formal introduction of military standard.4)Shooting mode assessment. has been used for ammunition power in our department for a long time,not only the poor economy, but time-consuming. This paper explored that computer numerical simulationtechnique is applied to the range power test, problems exiting in computer simulation insteading of firingpower project have been analysised. In addition, this paper summarized prospect of application computer simulation technology to the test range.
