Shock absorber is the important part of damping link, which its performance directly influences vibrational defect of vehicle. Therefore, in order to improve the performance of vehicle driving, we should study a kind of advanced, reliable and inexpensive shock absorber tester, and ensure that the inspection quality of shock absorber is good when it leave the factory.According to the test regulations of the auto industry standard "Automobile shock absorber bench test method"(QC/T545-1999), automobile shock absorber tester the topic developed is the special testing equipment that tests performance and fatigue of automobile shock absorber. It can accomplish five kinds ofperformance test on the basis of the standard very well. Including indicator test, speed characteristic test, temperature characteristic test, internal friction resistance test and fatigue test.The dynamic and static characteristic of shock absorber tester largely depends on the design of hydraulic servo system. Firstly, according to design task and requirements, the topic complete the hydraulic solutions, hydraulic principledrawing, static pressure servo cylinder designing and hydraulic power element calculating and selecting. Secondly, the topic applies related theory of kinematics, dynamics, fluid mechanics and other, which successfully established the mathematic model control valve hydraulic cylinder, servo valve, servo amplifier and sensor. On this basis, the transfer function of electro-hydraulic servo position control system was deduced. Then, using Simulink module in MATLAB software to simulate the mathematic model of control system, which analyses the stability, precision and rapidity of control system. In order to improve the steady performance of control system, the result of simulation is corrected by PID. The performance defect of system be compensated and the appropriate servo amplifier is selected. Finally, based on program structure modular thought of the virtual instrument technology program development platform LabVIEW, control system software design and test research is proceed with the modern control theory.
