Every year a large amount of manpower and materials will be invested to carry out the ammunition routine detection test, in order to ensure the quality status of ammunition and to provide reliable basis for the use and storage of the ammunition for higher authorities. Sealing test of ammunition package is the primary item of routine test. Ammunition packaging, as the main guarantee method of ammunition, is the key to improve the support ability of ammunition and its sealing is the premise of ammunition quality guarantee. Therefore, ammunition packaging sealing test is an effective method to master sealing status of ammunition packaging and is an important way to ensure the quality of the ammunition.In this paper, the general ammunition seal testing drilling machine can drill on the end surface of ammunition packaging rapidly, automatically, and accurately; then, install a seal testing connection device in the inspection hole, making good preparation for sealing test. The research has great significance in ammunition packaging seal testing and military ammunition logistics guarantee. The main contents are as follows:(1) Based on the research of the sealing principle and structure of O-type seal ring, and the actual requirements of sealing testing, design a set of sealed hole installer for general ammunition packaging seal testing, then different hardness of O-type seal ring is analyzed by the finite element method, and draw the conclusion of the sealing performance of sealed hole installer when using the non-hardness o-shape sealing ring.(2) According to the testing requirements of sealing detection, key technologies of drilling machine are researched, and a set of dedicated drilling machine for general ammunition packaging seal test and specified fixtures of the drilling machine are designed. Then static analysis and model analysis are done on the enclosure of the drilling machine; simultaneously, the forces on the specified fixture of punching machine are analyzed. The minimum clamping force for foxing the workpiece is calculated.(3) On the basis of the preliminary design scheme is feasible, motion simulations are carried out to make further improvements of its sports structure to realize the particular function.(4) Based on MCU, a research has done to the control system of the control center. Referring to the work requirements of punching machine, an automatic control system of punching machine is designed. At the same time, the hardware and software of the automatic control system are designed. The simulation and the software of the circuit are also tested. The hardware and software of the control system are improved and its feasibility is confirmed.
