Abstract/Summary:
In the F1field, aerodynamic studies have become the focus of the team competition,even is the key to decide the outcome. It can say, aerodynamics is the soul of racing. For thesame formula racing of FSC, aerodynamics research is also important. This paper set the FSCracing, LNUT2013, of Liaoning university of technology as the research object, then analyzesits aerodynamic performance, and apply the principle of aerodynamics to design anappropriate aerodynamic devices, including the front wing and rear wing as well as diffuser.On the basis of collecting massive literature and simulation result, this paper mainlylaunches from the following aspects. First, using the CFD to simulate the aerodynamicperformance of the initial model of LNUT2013racing and making preliminary evaluation.Secondly, summarized the functions and characteristics of the aerodynamic devices, takingthis as a principle of design. At the same time, because of the structure parameters of airfoilsection and the performance of the aerodynamic devices are closely related, paper alsoexpounds the design method and the influencing factors of the airfoil section. Finally,assembling the aerodynamic devices and the initial model as the whole model, then taking thesimulation by CFD and studying the pressure distribution on the surface, the velocitydistribution in the longitudinal symmetry plane of rear wing, the air flow of side cabin and theflow flied Surrounding the car. Get the car aerodynamic drag and lift value, compared withthe calculation results of the initial model.With the speed increase, the aerodynamic force influencing the vehicle handling stabilitybecome more and more obvious. Regarding the relationship between the center of pressurecenter and center of gravity as a starting point in this paper, to analysis the car which installedthe aerodynamic devices of stability and steering at a high speed. Finally, according to theactual situation of the car and the track, the influence of aerodynamic force was analyzed onthe car’s top speed and cornering speed in this paper.
