Yings’ ancestral temple is not only the material carrier of patriarchal clan system, but also the important part of Zhiying town. Since the Tang dynasty, Yings’ancestral temple has been founded for centuries. Therefore, Yongkang Planning Bureau and Zhiying People’s Government gradually realized the significance of historical relics and then developed the conservation planning in2011, which involved63ancestral temples in the core of protection scope. Faced with the contradictory choices about "reservate and inherite" or "transformate and change", the values and characteristics of these ancestral temples urgently need to be reacquainted and reexcavated, in order to better protect and update the traditional villages and architectures, and further provide more valuable enlightenment and suggestions for the present modern rural construction. In this paper, morphological characteristic of the remained Yings’ ancestral temple is the main research object, and the historical evolution builds the main research background. On the basis of making maps and sorting datas, the remained63ancestral temples are analyzed and interpreted by modeling and drawing. Specially speaking, research system takes prototype analysis as the starting point which extracts the original space types, sorts the morphological characteristics of status quo and summarizes the composition patterns with surrounding environment. As research shows, the present characteristics are already differ from the prototype in the way of constitution, which are the consideration of the present social demands; while the spatial patterns reveal the interdependent relationship between the ancestral temples and the environmental factors in Zhiying village, that demonstrate the significance of studying these ancestral temples.
