Organic is a word that deeply involves in people s daily life. Currently, peopleare more likely to live in an organic life style. Moreover, they are prefer to set thisidea into every single detail in daily life, such as eating, clothing, living and touring.The theory of organic renewal is now widely accepted by many famous historicalcities in China from the practice of the urban renewal. The idea of organic renewalwas first proposed by Professor Liangyong Wu, which was used in the renew projectof Ju er alley. This idea claims a maintained way to do the urban renewal, which alsois a popular way to protect and renew the old towns. However, this novel idea couldonly be used in some small-scale protect and develop projects of historical towns. Inrecent years, a lot of unchecked constructions which only focus on the historicalarchitectural project, making the whole area looked weird. Even worse, people wastoo ambitious to achieve the new look of a city. They were just roughly pulling downthe old buildings to build the new ones. Here comes the question: how to make theorganic renewal theory to lead different kinds of situations in a more efficient way?The author was deeply reminded when reading a lot of references, thinking overa way to make the organic renewal theory more widely used in daily practice, likesome renewal in ordinary old cities. Therefore, the author proposed the thesis of thispaper: how to apply the theory into practice, to make the old town being energeticafter the renewal?Base on all of those above, this paper can be written in six chapters.Chapter One claims the reason to choose this topic, and which objects andbackground this paper aims to study. It also introduces the meaning and goal forstudying this topic, and claims the whole structure of this paper.Chapter Two was through the study of basic theories and practice of relevantsubjects, and made a conclusion of the comparison between today s ordinary renewalways and organic renewals.Chapter Three studies five well-known classic organic renewal cases in China. Itaims to analyze their single design concept and renewal mode, to make a conclusionfrom those experiences, to explore the further meaning of the organic renewal theory,and to make some inspirations of the blueprint of this paper.Chapter Four makes a further analysis of the benefits of organic renewal, which deeply analyzes the financial benefits in different organic renewal, in order to give anew idea for the organic renewal investments.Chapter Five mentions about the project that the author who was actual did——the organic renewal project in LuShan road, which was leaded by researches and plans,to explore the application of organic renewal.Chapter Six makes a conclusion of all those chapters above, which says that notonly the old towns need a prospective planning, but also need to combine the realsituation. Thus, the project can make a good effect. What s more, when doing thisrenewal, every major interest party who is involved need to cooperate with eachother,to make a better reformative effect.The author expects through the study of this paper, we could find a more vividway to deal with organic renewal in the future China. This paper aims to lead peopleto study and explore more theories, to make more theories into the urban renewalpractices.
