| Hypoid gear transmission is an important element of the mini-vehicle’s drive axle, its special performance of the structure can lower chassis center and meet the requirements of automobile possibility. But hypoid gear’s transmission efficiency is low and the temperature rise, noise and vibration is serious when working. These affect the performance of drive axle. With increasing demand for automobile comfort and fuel economy, improving the transmission performance of drive axle is one of the goals of mini vehicles to pursue. The paper mainly studies the effects of hypoid gear pairs on the drive axle transmission efficiency, and firstly introduces the three main parts of the drive axle power loss, followed by the analysis of the influence of geometric parameters, lubrication parameters and bearing assembly parameters on the gear power loss, develops comparing test scheme and verifies the theoretical analysis results by driving axle test bench, put forward measures of improving drive axle transmission efficiency and test the drive axle sample.Main tasks and results of this paper contains the following aspects:(1) Analysis of the three parts of mini vehicles drive axle transmission power loss, starting from the theoretical model of each part of power loss, analyzing the formation mechanism of different power loss.(2) According to the theoretical model and empirical formula, the paper analyzes the influence of gear geometry, lubrication and bearing factors on the hypoid gear power loss, combination of mini vehicle condition and the existing drive axle structure, find out the influence factors on the overall.(3) According to the drive axle test bench parameters and drive axle corresponding conditions, develop corresponding test scheme, and verify the gear geometric parameters, lubrication parameters, churning loss and bearing preload parameters on the drive axle transmission efficiency. The test data are consistent with the theoretical results, the results of the theoretical analysis is credible, considering the other uncontrollable factors in the process of testing.(4) Combined with theoretical and test results, put forward the improvement measures of drive axle power loss, reduce the main gear offset and decrease the preload force of differential bearing, and conduct an sample test to verify that the improved measures are effective.This article introduced the test bed of drive axle test efficiency, formulates the corresponding test plan of the drive axle transmission efficiency and verified the correctness of the theoretical analysis results by analyzing the result of the influential factors of the hypoid gear transmission, the trial samples which change the main factors and the testing result of drive axle test. By studying the transmission efficiency of drive axle, the result of this article can decrease internal resistance of drive axle, but also can provide data support and theoretical direction for the later design of drive axle. |
