Therefore, in the power industry, reducing power loss in the distribution network is essential. Meanwhile line losing rate is within the power system for enterprise comprehensive consideration of various production targets.This paper focuses on the development of domestic and international distribution network, and having done a lot by analyzed and compared. Different theoretical of line loss calculation methods were compared and analyzed. And through the power distribution in a region conducted a case study on line losing. Simultaneously, Providing some reference for the further reduce and the control for line losing rate, also including the line losing management and strengthen the distribution of network safety and economic operation.Through an analysis and sort of a regional distribution network, the lOkV line of the region are analyzed and calculated. Through the use of reactive power compensation principle, According to the characteristics of the actual production in the region, I have done some analyzed to reduce the losing of electric. Determine the area of reactive power compensation capacity and location. Made a certain paradigm for reducing losing in the region.
