As economy and technology developing, the consuming of energy is quickly increased. At thesame time, people realize the importance of environment and paid more attention on. For itsclean and efficient, nuclear energy has more and more proportion than primary energy inChina. In order to use nuclear energy safely, high quality nuclear component is one of themost important condition.Six sigma was developed in1980s, and had been obtained significant pay back inMotorola and GE. Then it is implemented in other companies rapidly.This dissertation is to study on the DPMO of steam generator tube to tubesheet weldingin DG Company. Base on the organization of DG Company, a special organization for sixsigma was established with authorized role. Six sigma tools and related tools are used duringthe study, as measuring system analysis, DOE experimentation design, and so on. With thebenefit of these tools, DG Company successfully improved the quality management,controlled the DPMO of steam generator tube to tubesheet welds below2000PPM, andobtained satisfaction from customer and national nuclear safety administration. The purposeof improvement is successfully reached.Through the study on how DG Company implement six sigma management andsuccessful improve the quality of steam generator tube to tubesheet welds, the applicable ofsix sigma to nuclear component manufacture quality management is confirmed.The articlealso makes preparations for the widely and deeply applications of six sigma management inDG Company.
