Pipeline transportation is more important in the area of oil production in ocean. Repairtechnology for Subsea pipeline gets more and more attention. This paper does some researchin key technologies of non-welded connectors.Static sealing contact theory is researched in the way of microscopic mechanism. Then,design principles is concluded by analyzing the formation process of metal sealing. At last,sealing parts of connector is designed with design principles.Two blue prints are designed with two main failure forms in the working condition. Andthe pressure type connector which has simpler structure、and more reliable metal seal systemis choused Then the relationships between the leak speed with difference of pressure、width ofsealing ring、viscosity and gap size is analysised in the way of establishing leakage model.After contact pressure and its distribution are analysised by creating finite element modeland simulating the processes of contact, using finite element software ANSYS, initial pressuretype connector is shows that it basically meet the design requirements. The pressure typeconnector is optimizing in structural in order to get better sealing ability.Connector is optimized by setting contact pressure of the main seal as target function andthen a better dimension is getted. The result shows that the ability of seal is improved.To verify whether the performance of the pressure type connector meet design indexes,the connector should be tested,such as leakage test、pressure test. At last, the connectorshould pass the certification test.
