In Turbine design, it is of great importance to predict the loss rapidly and accurately.Compared with other alternatives, it can save much more time using the loss model. However,the accuracy of different loss models are different, so it’s necessary to find the exact andsuitable loss model or the appropriately correction method by studying on loss model, inorder to obtain a rapid and accurate prediction.In this article, it makes study on the loss model based on flat plate film coolingtechnology as well as some different kinds of blades.1. The ANSYS-CFX software is used to simulate NASA-MarkII high pressureair-cooled gas turbine and the flat plate film cooling structure in the experiment of AK Sinhaand DG Bogard, in1990. Using the experimental results, the CFD model has been tuned byemploying different turbulence models, transition models impacting on the accuracy of thecalculation results.2. Providing the computable loss type of all kinds of loss model by summarizing someexisting loss models. Moreover, according to the actual situation of film cool, we improve theIto single-hole film cool loss model, and give the empirical formula of relevant parameters inthe improved loss model. Then, we get a loss model of film cool mixing loss, which can beused in the actual calculation.3. We compare the predicting loss model results with numerical simulation of threedifferent kinds of blades. Furthermore, validate the results of the proposed loss model bynumerical simulation test. Therefore, the result shows that the improved loss model can beused in the predicting mixing loss in the film cool turbine.
