The ergonomicsduring the process of Vehicle product development, a series of process and regulations haveestablished, such as SAE standards and ECE standards. But in domestic, vehicle design hasno suitable human data, ergonomics tools and standards. Most of the domestic automobiledevelopment use SAE human body model and ergonomics tools and standards. RAMSISsoftware developed by Germany establishes a detailed three-dimensional model of thehuman body to simulate the behavior of the driver. RAMSIS human body is obtained by alarge number of measurements and can also be used for future human body growth. Usersestablish human body according to the national and age. The software can be used forperformance analysis and evaluation of comfort.This paper introduces the vehicle development process, ergonomics’ applicationprocess during Vehicle package, the main content and design method of Vehicle layout.Through using the layout tools, such as human body model, eyellipse, head positioncontour and driver hand control reach etc., summarizes the experience values of vehicle internal size, the layout method of internal operating components and the switches, factorsof driver’s field of vision and convenience on up and down.Applying these theories to new vehicle development, introduces static evaluation ofthe benchmarking vehicle and competitive vehicle. Through static evaluation, define thedesign goal of ergonomics. Set the layout sizes associated with riding comfortableness;Check the layout of accelerator pedal, brake pedal, clutch pedal, shift lever and the parkingbrake handle. Check the driver’s regulation of indirect view and space of convenience on upand down. Summarized comfortable evaluation methods and evaluation standards usingRAMSIS，and the subjective evaluation method with man-machine model platform. Applythe method of Ergonomics layout design during the vehicle development process, the resultis good.Through the research of the car layout method based on ergonomics, this paper sumsup process and regulations of ergonomics’ application during vehicle package. Theseprovide the technical foundation for the ergonomics’ development of Self-developed carproducts.
