Earthquake is a burst natural disaster. To human society, the disaster resulted in different degree of personal casualties and economic losses. China’s earthquake fault zone are widely distributed, our country is also one of the countries which suffered heavy earthquake hazards in the world. With the development of the society, national economy, science and technology, more and more high-rise buildings are built china. The earthquake action is a controlling factor in the analysis of the high-rise building, so the research and improvement of the seismic analysis method are generated gradually. The static Pushover analysis is turning into an widely—sed simple method gradually,.It combines the inelastic static analysis with the seismic response spectrum, It’s been proved by practical engineering abroad to have good accuracy and simplicity. Now the new seismic code in our country has introduced this method.Firstly, the paper discussed the nonlinear static analysis of research and development status in the word and described t the nonlinear static Pushover analysis method of basic meaning.Secondly, by using MIDAS/Gen, ETABAS two calculation procedure for a complex transfinite structure engineering transfinite review analysis, and this paper discusses the static nonlinear static analysis Pushover analysis method and limitations, the application background, basic principle, static nonlinear static Pushover analysis method attention problems. Based on the MIDAS/Gen calculation procedure, a engineering example used static nonlinear static analysis Pushover analysis, obtaining the capacity spectrum curve, structure to achieve performance point between layers of the displacement and layer displacement Angle and structure to achieve performance point of plastic hinge development diagram to judge of the weak parts of the structure, the structure of the judgment of the anti-seismic ability whether we can achieve in the unknown at the time of the earthquake structure performance target.
