With the continuous development of modern industrial technology, the military equipment has been replaced rapidly. As the key suppression weapon in the war, artillery has also got important development for a long time. In the modern war, because of aspects of the high-performance to the power of artillery, its reliability, the degree of quick reaction, and mobility demand of artillery bearing device, the design of artillery has also been put forward under higher requirements. Due to the high-performance requirement of the recoil mechanism, resulting from the increasing range, the higher requirements for the it has been put forward especially. It is important to detect and evaluate the artillery reverse recoil device accurately to ensure the fighting capacity of ascension. And the main detection problem focused on how to simulate the artillery recoil motion, which has special requirements on the way of artillery artificial recoil force application.This article mainly aims at the requirement of artillery reverse recoil device detection and reference to the current mode of reverse recoil detection equipment of artificial recoil, a kind of artificial recoil device based on hydraulic power works was designed to realize its demand. It is also a convenient way of detection, which can stop at anytime during the process. On the analysis of the performance parameters of the artillery reverse recoil device, determine the compositions of force application system and its working condition, the power part of the artificial based on the hydraulic power works and quick retraction device to protect the safety of power works was designed. Through the elastic energy storage device and retraction traction device of the system, it meets the demands when the gun’s speed of pushing into is greater than the artillery’s speed of pushing rod, to ensure the safety of equipment and the subsequent testing. In the testing process of artificial recoil, parameters such as the artificial recoil force size and the push rod retraction speed, which proves the reliability of the design.
