Research Of Several Landscape Gardening From "YuanYe"

This thesis is rooted from the essence of traditional Chinese garden art connotation and culture, and based on the previous awareness and research of traditional Chinese garden art and book YuanYe to analyze the reasonability and scienc of garden of "sites selection" from YuanYe, which wrote by JiCheng in the Ming Dynasty. Especially, pay more attention to the Suburban gardens, mountain gardens, and Lakeside Gardens. which are very suitable for designers to build the traditional Chinese gardens because of their splendid views and fewer residents. Take it as a theoretical tool to research the different locations and terrain characteristics of these three types of gardens with many historical traditional Chinese gardens as examples.Furthermore, with the research and comparison of both similarities and differences of architectures of Suburban gardens, mountain gardens, and Lakeside Gardens while using artistic conceptions as a tool. clarify the meaning and effects of the owners’humanities’ backgrounds as well as construction ages of the gardens to the style of traditional Chinese gardens. And what’s more, take some Gardens of Zhejiang province like Xixi Wetland. Xiling seals group, Guo manor, Moon and Candlelight Mirrored in the Lake and so on to identify the reasonability and science about JiCheng’s opinions of garden design. Using ideas and methods from "Yuanye" as a tool in order to find how the seclusion culture play a role in the Chinese traditional literati Gardening construction, and provide suggestions and evidence for the future studies.
