Airbag SRS (Supplemental Restraint System) is a passive safety device in the car.Because it can effectively reduce the damage in a collision, airbag SRS has becomethe basic equipment of car on a global scale. In many high-end cars, it not onlyincludes two front airbags, but also includes rear passenger airbags, side protectioncurtain airbags and so on. As the same time, the number of accelerating sensor is alsoincreasing, which increases the complexity of decision-making and control. Theperformance of the airbag SRS concerns whether the driver is safe or not. In order toensure the SRS can effectively protect the drivers from various collision damages, alot of collision experiments should be done. However, that would cost too much inman-power, material and money. Therefore, the research about how to effective debugthe airbag SRS experiment is a challenging works.Nowadays, there are many types of Airbag SRS commissioning methods. Staticdetonation method can’t simulate an actual collision; and computer simulation methodcan effectively verify the algorithm of airbag control system, but it can’t verify thecorrectness of the hardware and software of the real airbag system; and trolleycollision can solve all the problems, but the experiment cost too much. To solve theproblems in the design of the airbag SRS design in the car, we put forward acommissioning method in airbag control system based on the hardware and softw aresimulation technology under the condition of limited resources. Meantime, wesuccessfully design an airbag control system in a middle and high-end car. The Majorwork is as follows:1. Based on the research of the detection method of collision and the controlways of airbag, this paper proposes a commissioning method about airbag controlsystem using hardware and software simulation technology. This method using DAconverter and amplifying circuit to achieve a simulation of the acceleration curve,using optocouplers coordinated with MCU to implement the simulation of airbag.2. After discussing and deciding the overall solution about the commissioningplatform of airbag control system, this paper completes the design of the platform.The structure of the platform can be divided into three parts: acceleration signalsimulator, airbag simulator and software on PC. To achieve the output ofmulti-channels acceleration curve, parallel structure with more pieces of MCU is adapted. To solve the synchronization problem of acceleration signals among theMCUs, The external disruption in software is adapted.3. To solve the problems of the airbag control system in ZHONGQI car, thispaper designs an airbag control system and complete the commissioning work in theplatform. Experimental results show that the airbag control system designed in thispaper has reached the expected targets; the commissioning method proposed in thispaper not only has a low cost, but also has a high precision simulation aboutacceleration curve.
