Energy is the important materia l foundation for the development of human society.With the continuous development o f the society, the demand for energy is constantlyincreasing, and building energy consumption accounts for increasing proportion o f thetotal energy consumption. At the basis of the comprehens ive need of the resource, theenvironment and the socia l development, it is imperative to deve lop and utilize newenergy and renewable resource to reduce traditio nal build ing energy consumption. Theuse of solar thermal is the important part of developing new energy a nd renewableenergy, and solar water heating techno logy is the most mature and most wide ly usedtechno logy in the use of solar thermal. Currently, although solar water heatingtechno logy has been mature, the applicatio n of the solar water heater which has beeninstalled as the rear part of the buildings still has many proble ms, so that the solarequipme nt integrates difficultly with the build ings.As the provinc ial capital of Hunan province, Changsha has important economicand social status, while the proble m of build ing energy consumption is outstanding, soit’s become develop ing ideas and emphas is to use solar water heater in constructingbuild ings in this region. Firstly, as the background of the current situation of the solarwater heating system and building inte gration at home and abroad, and based on theweather condition、geographica l condition、so lar radiation heat datas of each mo nth inChangsha area, this artic le compares the solar resource in Changs ha area and otherregions in China as well as foreign countries; then according to the deve lopment ofsolar water heater in Changsha, this study ana lyzes the current situation and prob lemsof solar water heater and building integration in this area, also puts out methods tointegrate different components of solar water heating s ystem with different positio n ofbuild ings, and proposes system design for villas, multi-story and high-rise build ings;and again, it analyses the existing problems of the build ing integration project inChangsha and solutions to solve it;Fina lly, it makes a comparison between solar waterheater and other conventio nal water heater, in order to analyze the economic and theenvironmenta l benefit it brings in Changs ha.Solar water heating syste m and building integration has become an important wayto promote the applicatio n of solar water heater and an important strategy to reducebuild ing energy consumption and imp le ment build ing energy conservatio n. This study may be served as some effective reference and suggestio n for similar research, and theresults ma y have certain guiding s ignificance for building energy conservation inChangsha as well.
