The Study Of The Auto Part Product Package Material Requirement Planning Model Based On MRP

Under the production mode of assemble to order (ATO)，the package of the product in theauto industry is becoming more diversity because of the diversity of the products，the customerrequirement, the different way of the transportation and so on. The traditional MaterialRequirement Planning(MRP) now is no longer suitable for the auto product package mateiralmanagement of the auto part manufactuirng factoires. The lagging management of the packagehas brought diiffculties to the implementation of lean management. Therefore, the study of theauto part product package mateiral requirement planning is meaningful，the lean managementof auto part product can help the company save the logistics costs, lower the stock of thewarehouse, improve the competitive advantage, meet the customer requirement quickly. Themain work and innovation of my paper is below:(1)The auto part product package modular GBOM (General Bill of Material) model isproposed. Study and analysis the auto part product package BOM characteirstics with UnitedAutomotive Electronic Systems Co., Ltd as the study background. The new modular GBOMmodel which is combined traditional GBOM model with modular BOM, the uncertainpercentage and the loss rate have also been taken into consideration by this new model,andgive the way of calculation of them. This new model is suitable for the auto part productpackage because it can not only reduced auto part product package information redundancy, butalso overcome the shortage that the traditional GBOM can not be used to descirbe the unknownproduct BOM. Therefore, the new BOM model is more suitable for the auto part productpackage mateiral planning and information management.(2)Set up the auto patr product package general mateiral requirement planning (GMRP)model. Study the work process and the calculate logic of the auto part product package GMRP，Deirvate the two-stage operation process of the auto part product package GMRP model. Thenew model provides the theory for the scientific purchasing and planning of the auto partproduct package mateiral.(3)Finally, the paper cited the company’s improvement measures of product packagemateiral management and analysis effectiveness of the improvement measures. Theimprovement measures provide the new ideas for other auto part product manufactuirng companies and they can also learn much from it.
