In China, the problems of water shortages and floods coexist. In recent years, China’s large and medium-sized cities suffer frequent attacks by Urban stormwater disaster, which cause more serious consequences and a great deal of threat to people’s life and property safety. With the acceleration of the urbanization process in China, the landscape has undergone tremendous change, the destruction of the natural ecological environment in urban construction activities, and the increase area of the city hardened under cushion, resulting in poor urban water cycle, it’s one of the causes of the urban waterlogging problem. The role played by the rain in the urban water cycle system is easily overlooked for a long time, A large number of stormwater resources loss due to lack of reasonable use, stormwater utilization is low.The study aims at solving stormwater problems in cities of China,making combination of elevant principles of landscape ecology and urban stormwater management to study stormwater management method. The first chapter describes the relationship between urban stormwater resources and water systems, propose the problems of stormwater management in domestic and foreign. Second chapter inductions the principles and concepts of landscape ecology. The third chapter analyzes the relationship between China’s urban stormwater management and associated subsystems, sum up dynamic update of the study in stormwater management in domestic and foreign and stormwater management mode. Chapter IV is the" problem-solving measures and methods " section, exploring urban stormwater management methods based on landscape ecology, presented the application of green infrastructure ideas and landscape ecological security pattern approach and expand the description. The fifth chapter studies practical cases, take the example of Zhuzhou Yunlong ecological demonstration zones planning as ecological stormwater regulation and storage systems planning case, and take Beijing Olympic Park as an example to analyse the application of green infrastructure stormwater management practice. The sixth chapter is the conclusion and outlook. This research aims to play a valuable role in promoting urban stormwater management methods study based on landscape ecology.
