Based on construction machinery product design and development process ofdesign evaluation as the research object, from system perspective of designmanagement, with the purpose of synergy between members of different areas incollaborative design activities, for real-time monitoring of the design process and theeffective evaluation, and introduce the balanced scorecard theory, this will be a newway of thinking and methods for design management and evaluation.Analyze relevant factors of design evaluation, discusses the relationship betweendesign management and design evaluation, through the target system analysis methodextracting the constituent elements and building the mathematical model of designevaluation system. Introduced the principle and form of the Balanced Score-Card, itscore idea summarized as holistic view, relevant view and balanced view. Based on theabstraction and generalization of the Balanced Score-Card, dimension, subject, targetand evaluation index is deduced as the three constituent elements of it, discuss thefeasibility of introducing balanced scorecard into design management field.Contrast the corresponding relations between design strategy and enterprise strategyimplementation and evaluation, expound the feasibility of the Balanced Score-Cardstrategy map used in design planning process, both supplement each other to achievethe effective execution of design strategy.According to the analysis of design value creation path in the third chapter,contrast design value dimensions and dimensions of the Balanced Score-Card, derivethe four dimensions of design strategy as users, product, design process and brand,these four dimensions are corresponding to the four dimensions of Balan cedScore-Card, reflect the core idea and principle of the Balanced Score-Card.Established three basic concepts, holistic, relevant and balance, while using theBalanced Score-Card framework for design evaluation, help team members tocooperate better, to conduct a comprehensive evaluation system of design results.Expounding the create steps of the Balanced Score-Card, constructed mathematicalmodel and the general form of design strategy map, laid the foundation of theory, forthe application of Balanced Score-Card in the field of design management. Theresearch result will be used for the development process of SANY crane STC250Sdesign in chapter4, established a Balanced Score-Card strategy map of truck cranedesign, to establish method for evaluating of different stages of the project, help team members to make effective decisions.
