Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system is a kind of public transport modewhich needs low investment, has short construction period and has great transportability. Zhengzhou BRT system started to run in May,2009. During the past3years,Zhengzhou BRT system undertook an important business of the travel of the citizens,full filled the need of the travelers, enhanced the development of the city, successfullyreleased the public traffic pressure of the city, and therefore, promoted the trafficimage of the city. In the meantime, the construction and running of BRT promoted thescientific development of economy and reasonable expansion of the city. Therefore,BRT system is one of the most effective pathways to solve the problem of urbantraffic congestion.However, as the development of BRT system, some problems are also revealed.The phenomenon of low select tending of travelers, destruction of the BRT devices,dissatisfaction of travelers to the transport fuction and so on emerges. How tosystematically analyze the choice tending of travelers and make scientific assessmentof the BRT service level is appeared to be more and more important.The present work took the point of view of travelers (the main service object ofBRT system). Based on the service content and characteristics of BRT system,according to the data of field survey, this work used SPSS17.0software to lead thedescriptive statistics, T-Test, factor analysis, One-way analysis of variance, correlationanalysis and regression analysis and so on to proceed reasonable analysis of the data.Finally, the investigation mode of BRT system service quality assessment was decided,the measure dimensions of service quality was found out, the equation of servicequality\passenger satisfaction\passenger behavior intention was obtained.The present work could help the BRT managers clearly find out thedisadvantages from the BRT service, and they could correctly catch what the travelersneed. Therefore, the targeted high quality of service was provided, and the servicefunction of Zhengzhou BRT system could be optimally expressed. Meanwhile, thiswork provided reasonable suggestions for the related administrations. This workcould lead the BRT service direction and keep the service quality for the travelers’ need, and bring benefit for the development of public transportation market, attractthe travelers, keep the long term development of BRT system. This work has greatsignificance for the recognition of BRT service quality survey, assessment andanalysis, as well as the construction and development of city public transport industry.The comprehensive service of Zhengzhou public transportation could also be wellrecognized from the present work.
