Midwest City High-grade Hotel Building Structural Analysis And Research

With rapid economic development and continuous comprehensive national power, High-Rise Buildings have already sprung up throughout the country. High-Rise Buildings, especially High-Rise luxury hotels, are up-and-coming in the Midwest cities energetically. A relative few design-researches, however, address the upscale hotels in the Midwest cities, however, the structure selection, which is one of the most important concepts during this design, will influence the behaviours of structure, social benefits and construction costs. As a result, this project describes a discussion of structure selection.This paper provides a comprehensive treatment of development on upscale hotels, meanwhile, based on one five-star hotel, the analysis on necessity and feasibility of High-grade hotel building will be generated by assessing the environment of economic, culture, geography, traffic and etc. For instance, the concept of structural design on High-grade hotel building, which including characteristic, fundamental assumption and basic requirement, will be introduced in this project. Moreover, a number of available common structure systems for Midwest were generated in order to determine the deformation characteristics for each system as well as the basic requirement during the design. Finally, a major consideration on the determination of every system was discussed, together with influencing factors in structure selection.During the analysis, the PKPM and SATWE software were employed to give fully analysis on period, displacement, shear-weight ratio, stiffness-weight ratio and etc. A series of referable conclusions were generated by doing the comparative analysis, as well as some suggestions on the design of High-Rise luxury hotels.
