With the rapid development of urbanization and the high-speed growth of city population,The external environment of the building has been getting further worse. Facing theworsening living environment, this is our common topic to improve the living environmentand create a green home. In recent years, due to unreasonable architectural planning anddesign, many artificial wind damage and building regional air circulation phenomenon oftenoccurs. The large number of domestic and international case illustrates the importance of thearchitectural planning and design of the building exterior wind environmental affects. Againstthe building Exterior wind environmental issues, domestic and foreign institutions have beenestablished relevant standards. Ministry of Construction in China promulgated the “greenbuilding rating standards” and “China Eco Residential Technology Assessment Manual”. butonly raised some technical indicators against the wind environment around the building, norequirements against the specification of the architectural design stage.The purpose of thisproject is to study the affect of building bottom overhead design on the building external windenvironment. Try to simulation to compare different architectural design building windenvironment with CFD(Computational Fluid Dynamics) technology. In order to providepeople a design reference to create more consistent with the needs of the people’s buildingexterior wind environment.This topic describes the application of CFD numerical simulation tools in building externalwind environment, The affect of building bottom overhead design on the external windenvironment. Proposed practical evaluation index And practical evaluation system based onecological building exterior wind environments. Using the aid of SketchUp software visualizebuilding planning program in the present study, and introducing FLUENT software tosimulation, prediction, amelioration and evaluation of changes the residential atmosphericwind environment. In order to make the ecological evaluation of the well-establishedeco-community planning approach, a preliminary attempt to identify a set of practicalevaluation indexes based on the concept of the factor of non-uniformity of air distribution andwind speed changing coefficient, and establishes practical evaluation system of districtatmospheric wind environment bases on concepts of these two factors.This paper describes how to use FLUENT software to simulation and prediction thebuiding wind environment and architectural the bottom overhead design on the external wind environment impact. Through examples discuss how to use FLUENT software in the windenvironment design, and building bottom overhead design on the improvement of the externalwind environment. Describe the application of the established practical evaluation system inthe Building wind environment.
