With the rapid development of urbanization and the high-speed growth of city population, micro-environment of cities especially in city district has been getting further worse. Facing the deteriorating living environment, this is our common topic to improve the living environment and create a green home. Many of countries have established a standard for atmospheric wind and atmospheric thermal environment. Ministry of Construction in China promulgated the"green building rating standards"and"China Eco Residential Technology Assessment Manual". But base on the mere experience or simple calculation can not accurately judge the architectural design of residential in the atmospheric wind environment whether meets the"green building rating standards"and"China Eco Residential Technology Assessment Manual". For these two reasons, this study is based on the standard to design of the atmospheric wind environment, and try to improve the atmospheric wind environment. These two aspects works are based on CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) as a research starting point.This topic describes the application of CFD in the design of the atmospheric wind environment, and impaction of trees for the atmospheric wind environment of the district. Using the aid of SketchUp software visualize community planning program in the present study, and introducing FLUENT6.3 software to simulation, prediction, amelioration and evaluation of changes the residential atmospheric wind environment. In order to make the ecological evaluation of the well-established eco-community planning approach, a preliminary attempt to identify a set of practical evaluation indexes based on the concept of the factor of non-uniformity of air distribution and the largest deviation index, and establishes practical evaluation system of district atmospheric wind environment bases on concepts of these two factors.This paper describes how to use FLUENT software to simulation and prediction the district atmospheric wind environment and impaction of trees for the atmospheric wind environment. Through examples discuss how to use FLUENT software in the wind environment design in urban residential, and describe the amelioration of trees for the wind environment, and describe the application of the established practical evaluation indexes and practical evaluation system in the area.The subject is a kind of research of application basis, although its principle is reliable and the used of means is an advanced and scientific. It will useful for the future research on the outdoor environment research. However, these studies still needs a lot of practical work to be verified, modified and improved.
