Plant Community Diversity And Landscape Aesthetic Evaluation Of Chengdu’s Representative Parks

City park not only affects the quality of life of urban residents, but also beautify the city,and regulate the urban environment, improving urban air quality,preventing and mitigating disasters and to maintain the ecological balance of the city. A city park of high quality,is versatile and vivid,and is often able to become a symbol of the city, and also a sign of prosperity and civilization of the city.As the city’s main public open space, the construction of the city park is not only the continuation of the tradition of leisure, but also a manifestation of the culture of the city, it represents the city’s political, economic, style, temperament, culture and mental outlook and also reflects the public’s pursuit,taste and mentality of the city.This study chooses Chengdu’s three representative parks:the largest ecological park in Chengdu-Phoenix Mountains Park, Chengdu’s oldest comprehensive park People’s Park, Chengdu’s largest open theme park-Flora Land park. Analyzes and compares the three parks’ plant diversity based on field survey of the three parks,does the landscape aesthetic evaluation of the parks’ landscape through the SBE method,and analyzes and compares the public’s awareness of the beauty of park landscape through the psychological questionnaire survey.The study results are as follows:(1) After field survey of the three parks, a total of123kinds of plants are found in the three parks’ selected sample plots, belonging to59families and99genera. The higher numbers of plant species are:Rosaceae ((Rosaceae), including7genera and16species; Leguminosae (Leguminosae), including7and9species; Magnoliaceae (Magnoliaceae), including36species; Oleaceae (Oleaceae), including4and5species; Lauraceae (Lauraceae), including3and5species.(2) This study analyzes and compares the species diversity index of sample plots in different areas of the three parks by Simpson index, Shannon-Wiener index, Pielou evenness index and Margalef richness index. The result shows that plant diversity index showed some differences in different plant communities,but in general, reflect a consistent trend, that the more kinds of plant community contains and the more complex the structure is, the higher the species diversity index of community is.Species diversity index in descending order:Flora Land Park>People’s Park>Phoenix Mountains Park.(3) This study does the landscape aesthetic evaluation of the three parks through the SBE method by selects four aspects of the important landscape elements:plant landscape, park road view, waterfront landscape and architecture and sketch. The results showed main reason for the discrepancy,that plant selection and configuration, kind and quantity, as well as conservation and management; park road’s form design and choice of material; the waterfront plant selection and configuration, and the combination of land and water; whether the architecture and the sketch is harmonious with nature and innovative. The result of the evaluation:Flora Land Park>People’s Park>Phoenix Mountains Park.(4) This study investigates the preference of the tourists on the landscape of the three parks by the form of questionnaire survey,the result showed that the preference of the overall impression of the visitors on the three parks’ landscape has reached more than70%.Although tourists like both the nature plant landscape and artificial plant landscape, but the more visitors prefer to manually configure plant landscape.The preference of the tourists in descending order:Flora Land Park>People’s Park>Phoenix Mountains Park.
