Study On The Application Of Design Geometry In Form Design In Engineering Machinery Product

With the development of China’s infrastructure construction, engineering machineryindustry has been expanding increasingly. Nevertheless, the engineering machineryproducts, which is long-life-cycle, slow-updating, restricts the development of thisindustry to a certain degree. Thus, in the age of homogeneous competition, making thegeometrical proportions form intuitive, clear, harmonious, and enhancing the visual beautyof the products, have become significant factors in productive competitiveness. As a result,the introduction of design geometry research is extraordinarily useful in engineeringmachinery geometry shape design, which is a vital topic to construction machinerydesigners and also the focus of this paper.Geometry mainly focuses on the proportion and constitution, which has been usedwidely in many areas. This essay treats it as the theoretical base and research method,which aims at researching the forms of construction machinery products, and solving theproblems of mechanical engineering design geometry shape relations.Firstly, the paper introduces design geometry concepts embodied in human life, tounderstand the geometrical patterns of the geometrical morphology and component ratio,and to know the main application in key areas. Secondly, it generalizes the engineeringmachinery products, and then analyses their form. As a result, it find the inner connectionsbetween the design geometry principles and the construction machinery design geometryprinciples and the form design of construction machinery products, and draw somedisadvantages exist in China’s construction machinery products. Thirdly, it analyzes thenecessity of the introduction and constraints in design process of the constructionmachinery product form. Finally, it also summarizes the guiding principles and methods inthe form of design engineering machinery products and then verified them by examples.This paper is a reference and will conduct the actual design cases of the form designof construction machinery products to a certain extent in China.
