The development of globalization and information technology has make great change to themanufacturing market environment, the competition among enterprises become more and moreintense,consumers’ diverse and individual needs of the products increase gradually. If enterprisesin order to survive and develop in the fierce competition, they should adopt efficient andlow-cost production methods, make quick corresponding to customers’ needs, The emergence ofproduct configuration platform can solve this problem for enterprises.Based on the multi-level mapping module division method and master-slave mode productconfiguration, the author design a product configuration system adopt B/S mode, in addition theproduct configuration system introduces the similarity algorithm to improve the efficiency of theproduct configuration process.The system use SQL Server2008database software to design thedatabase support the system, use C#as the programming language,use Microsoft Visual Studio2008as a tool to design the interface and functionality of the system. And then make bag-makingmachine for example to verify the feasibility of the product configuration system.During the product configuration process, may need people to design new parts to completethe product configuration process, in order to improve the practicality and integrity of theproduct configuration system, on the basis of depth research in secondary development andvariant design theory and variant design process of product, use Automation Gateway as a toolmake the secondary development of Pro/E, use C#as the programming language,design avariant design system for the bag making machine, establish the contact between configurationsystem and database, realize the variant design and Automatic assembly process of bag makingmachine parts.
