| Floods are the most common and widespread of all natural disasters. China suffersignificantly more from floods than almost any other natural disaster, and floods make anenormous impact on the environment and society. Though it is not possible to control theflood disaster totally, by adopting suitable structural and non-structural measures the flooddamages can be minimized. In this context flood simulation plays an important role. Inaddition, Geographic Information Systems(GIS) has a great deal of support and auxiliaryrole in flood simulation due to the flood simulation involves a lot of spatial data, andGIS as an important technology for management and analysis of spatial data.In this thesis, we analyze the hydrologic-hydraulic model in numerical simulation offlood, and study the GIS spatial data management and analysis function in the process ofsimulation. Then we established a GIS-based one-and two-dimensional flood simulationmodel, and used to implement flood simulation of river channels and floodplains. We research the visualization of the flood risk factors in the region of the lowerreaches of Hanjiang River. In this paper, the main technical is numerical simulation of theflood. The main research contents are summarized as follows:(1) this paper first reviewed and compared the existing flood simulation methods.(2) this paper adopted hydraulic method for flood numerical simulation, focused on theone-dimensional and two-dimensional method, and summarized the numerical simulationmethod.(3) GIS has an important role in flood simulation, this paper established a GIS-based riverand floodplains flood simulation model, and introduced the theoretical basis, functions andapplying method of the HEC-RAS and TELAMC-2D.(4) we used GIS-based flood simulation model to research the flood evolution of thedownstream of Hanjiang River, then obtained, visualized and analyzed the information offlood elements. |
