Natural gas as an efficient, clean energy is gradually becoming the main source ofenergy in the world. LNG(Liquefied Natural Gas) ship that is liquefied natural gas carrier isinternationally recognized as high technology, high difficulty and high added value. Theassessment of LNG ship anti-collision capability and the improvement of LNG shipanti-collision ability make an important significance. This paper do study on the ten thousand cubic LNG ship using the combination of thetheory and numerical simulation.Three typical bulbous bowboat were selected to hit the tenthousand cubic LNG ship in diffident angle and speed. Firstly consider the impact ship as arigid body and ignore the damage deformation. Then build the finite element model of thewhole hull shell and do numerical analysis on ship collision by ANSYS/LS-DYNA andLS-PrePost.The ship’s anti-collision abilibity was clear according to the simulationresults. Then six idears were carried out to strengthen anti-collision ability of the LNGship. Finally we got the best idear through numerical analysis on ship collision.
