The snow and ice on the pavement have great influence to vehicle driving safety as wellas the traffic capacity. In order to remove snow and ice, improving the road anti-sliding ability,mechanical and artificial technologies and planting snow-melting agents are always been used.However, mechanical and artificial method will not only damage infrastructure structures, butalso have influence on ecological environment.Based on the situation in our country, the key material of anti-freezing technology will becarried out. Influences of composition A, composition B, composition C, composition D,composition E and particles properties are studied. In this paper, microstructures areresearched by SEM, DSC/EDS and XRD.Based on the dilute solution colligative properties, anti-freezing performance evaluatingmodel is carried out. And the anti-freezing time and temperature of asphalt mixtures isforecasted using conductivity test. It’s proved that anti-freezing performance of asphaltmixtures will be satisfactory under high temperature or light snow conditions. To verify thecorrectness of this evaluation model, observation experiments of snow-falling, snow-meltingand water-freezing were operated, anti-freezing asphalt mixtures can slow snow cover down,and make snow-melting faster, compared with general asphalt mixtures. Through testing-road,construction process of anti-freezing pavement and quality controlling methods are summedup.
