Along with the rapid development of the high-grade highways, people pay moreattention to pavement maintenance machinery. At present, in order to extend the service life ofhighways, it has entered the period of preventive maintenance of asphalt pavement. Therefore,the machinery for daily maintenance is facing a good opportunities for development. It hasmore application value to integrate various maintenance functions of asphalt pavement on onevehicle.Firstly, according to the study on multi-function maintenance vehicle both at home andabroad, the overall design of multi-function asphalt pavement maintenance vehicle isdetermined. The asphalt pavement maintenance vehicle is comprised of chassis, heating wallassembly, rotational silo assembly, gas system, feeding mechanism, emulsified asphalt andasphalt spraying system, roller assembly, hydraulic system, and another assembly parts. Then,the structural concept and parameters of each assembly are selected, and all the assemblies arearranged reasonably on the chassis. The dynamic performance of the chassis is analyzed. Thefocuses of the thesis are that the design of feeding mechanism, gas system and hydraulicsystem. Transmission scheme of the feeding mechanism is that cylinder drives chains, andchains drag hopper move along rail. Then, asphalt mixture within the hopper is dumped intorotational silo. The gas system is made of horizontal cylindrical tank filled with liquefiedpetroleum gas. After two stage pressure regulating valves, the pressure of the gas is regulatedin the igniter pressure range of the heating wall and the heating plate. If necessary, theliquefied petroleum gas can be gasified by a gasifier. A double-pump and double-loophydraulic system is designed for the vehicle. Eight hydraulic actuators are distributed into twoshunt circuits.Based on software Pro/E, the3D model of discharging process of the feeding mechanismis established. Then, the model is imported into ADAMS simulation environment. Afterexerting appropriate restriction and drive, the simulation analysis is carried out. It is showsthat asphalt mixture in the hopper can be poured accurately and perfectly into the rotationalsilo.Finally, the loads of each working condition of the feeding mechanism’s fixed mount are calculated in this thesis. By the software ANSYS Workbench, finite element model of fixedmount is established. Then, static analysis of the fixed mount is carried out. Structure’s stressand deformation under3kinds of working conditions are obtained. The results show that thestrength and stiffness of the fixed mount meet the design requirements.
