With the increasing number of coach, resulting in accident rate showed an increasingtrend. Human life and property are threatened. All vehicle manufacturers, research institutesand universities pay more attention to coach rollover accident.Under this background, thisthesis takes a new coach of a company as the object to simulation and and to do rollover test.Firstly in this thesis, geometry model of coach body frame is established in CATIA. Thedata provided by the manufacturer. Second, the model is transformed into a suitable format.The format is imported into HyperMesh and processed in order to establish the finite elementmodel of the coach body skeleton. The finite element model is imported into LS-DYNAanalysis software for rollover simulation of coach body skeleton. Finally the thesis alsocarried the coach rollover test, including equipment requirements, test preparation conditions,data collection processes and other parts are introduced in the experimentï¼›rollover test resultsevaluation criteria in ECE R66regulations is described; the results of the data vehiclerollover test data with simulation results were compared.The established finite element model is valid by analyzing the change of energy andacceleration of rollover simulation process; The rollover process and after the rollover,intrusion into the occupant living space are not subjected to other parts of the body, thecoach meet the national requirements on the rollover safety by analyzing the vehicledeformation; the error of the pillar deformation and maximum deformation of the post errorless than10%, through comparison of the last vehicle rollover test results and simulationresults of the data calculated, and we know the established finite element model is reasonableand effective in the allowable error range, which the coach body frame finite element modelof the simulation result is desirable in this thesis.
