In compaction machinery, vibratory roller is the dominant category, its parameters have agreat significance influence to the quality and efficiency of the actual construction work. Theamplitude is a central parameters of the evaluation of vibratory roller performance, and it isnot only a design parameters, but also a work and operating parameters. In order to facilitatethe design and comparison, it is often the introduction of the concept of the nominalamplitude. Currently, the nominal amplitude of the GB is based on the theory of particlevibration and without considering uneven property of the wheel vibration amplitude. Then itelse did not consider that it is a changes process during the compaction. After severalexperiments, we found that the method of traditional nominal amplitude of the measurementand define does not reflect situation in the actual work, then the parameters which throughexperimental measurements will lose value which should have some meaning. Therefore, thesubject of the amplitude of the vibratory roller wheel vibration will be researched tosupplement and improve on the GB definition and test method, so that this parameter can be atruly reflection of the performance of a roller which is compared advantages anddisadvantages and actual work.This article describes the meaning of the nominal amplitude, design amplitude and actualamplitude. In this paper, the structure of single drum roller wheel vibration is described. Thepaper presents a theoretical analysis of vibration inhomogeneity due to the drum structure. Forexample about single drum vibratory roller, the paper analyzes unreasonable characteristic ofnominal amplitude measured.The paper established a mathematical model of the vibration wheel vacant vibration andactual vibration compaction process. And it is get that the formula of nominal amplitude andthe actual amplitude. Thought application of matlab simulation model analyzes the impactof the amplitude size about polarization, medium stiffness and damping. Combined withexperimental data to validate the simulation results, then description traditional Nominalamplitude defines the result deviation. Prove unreasonable and nominal amplitude accuratedetermination of the significance of the actual work. Analysis amplitude differences and related of the different state. With the compactionmaterial, compaction times the number of changes, analysis of the influencing factors andvariation of the amplitude of the actual work. Through theoretical analysis and experimentalresearch, pointed out that the amplitude uneven compaction quality compaction results. Andwe proposed measures to reduce the amplitude of the unevenness.Recommendations on the basis of the above analysis, we suggested definitions of thenominal amplitude. That the mathematical expectation, variance and deviation coefficient asits nominal amplitude, and raised the upper limit of the amplitude of the vibration wheeluneven. Thesis research has an important value on the design of the vibratory roller.
