Oasis is a product of human to adapt to the natural environment in arid areas andtense man-land relationship and efficient resource utilization pattern fully embodies inthe oasis vernacular landscapes. For the purposes of this study are inductive patternlanguages of oasis vernacular landscape, reveal mechanism of oasis vernacularlandscape. With the help of external discipline angle of view to construct an identifyingcriterion of oasis vernacular landscape. Inductive its pattern languages from landscapecharacteristics, land use pattern and construction mode, reveal its mechanism from itsrationality.The full text altogether is composed of six chapters. The first chapter isintroduction which is to explain the background, purposes and meanings of this study,to review the domestic and foreign research, to introduce the research methods andobjects, and to build the foundational frameworks of the study. The second chapter isto describe the oasis native landscapes in the viewpoint of the men-land relationship, todiscriminate the main concepts and to display in which aspects the men-landrelationships of the oasis vernacular landscapes are embodied as well as to define thedefinitely research objectives. To analysis residents’ environmental materials ofsurvival, production and living in Mazar aldi is in the third chapter, in the point ofessential elements of survival in men-land relationship and with objectives ofgeographical and natural environments around this village. The forth chapter is tostudy the relationship between the settlement landscapes and climate, water and soilresources, as the foundation of production factors in men-land relationship and focusedon the cultivate land around Mazar aldi. The objects of the fifth chapter is in thestarting point of elements of living and focused on the settlement in Mazar aldi to describe the relationship between the settlement landscapes and climate, water and soilresources. The last chapter, as the example of Mazar aldi, is to summarize the modellanguages of oasis native landscape in terms of agricultural and settle landscapes.Conclusion for this study. The formation of oasis vernacular landscape affected bynatural and cultural factors, in which their combined impacts are embodied in naturalecosystem and settlement system of life, eventually forming the special oasisvernacular landscapes.
